My influences range from so many different influences, first and formost is RASTAFARI. The first music to my ears was Reggae music. I like a lot of the foundation reggae music, originating from Ska music and instrumental that some may refer to as 'Dub' or 'Roots' music, love music was also a favourite of mine such as Gregory Isaacs, Ken Boothe, Tony Tuff, Glen Washington, Heptones, Beres Hammond and many others I also like a bit of poetry and a bit of soul. The original segment of the music is what I listen to because to understand the music of today your must understand the music of yesterday. I am a Reggae Artist who never forgets the Artist of yesterday as they are the Geniuses and Kings of the music and set the way for upcoming Artist like myself. Many Artists have made many songs were some were hits, some were not, yet enough of them never got the respect that was due to them and have been forgotten, but not by I. Going to the top studios such as Tuff Gong Studio and many other studios and talking to many of the top producers and musicians gave me enough inspiration to make my own music. Musicians who play the instruments creating the rythnms are just as important as the Artist who sings on the rythmns, as everything combines together on a record as one, just like Woman & Man or Man & Woman, that's why Music is for all nations.
My influences ranged from the great Artist like Uroy, Iroy, Prince Jasbo, and when I went to a DanceHall I would feel a lot of vibrations, just like going to school this is where I learnt. When you go to a DanceHall or a stage show a one listens more than talks. No matter what type of music you listen to all music is great in its own way, my musical vibration is Reggae, because thats what I know. Getting my influence from the sun the breeze and life because music is life and every musician/artist is great so no artist should ever say they are better than another, because every artist is trying to strive for the same thing. I used to fall asleep with the mike in my hand, waking up with lyrics and a beat to create a song in the African Reggae way. Music is a thing that will live for ever. So you see the youths of today must not forget the people who lead the way like the DJs of DanceHall from Ranking Joe, Echo, Ranking Trevor, U-Brown, Nickademus, Chaka Demus, Brigadier General, SuperCat, Dillinger, General Trees, Yellowman, Leroy Smart, King Stitch, Professor Nuts, Papa San, Dirts Man, Courtney Melody, Little John, Ranking Toyun, Lord Sasafass, Peter Metro, Pinchers, Tenorsaw, Sugar Minott, Tyrone Taylor and Garnet Silk.
