The backstory to this band has more ups and downs than a crackwhore, so to spare all the details...The band formed in 2003. Blood has been spilled and many a great song has been composed since. Troops spent most of 2006 off the stage and out of the studio and concentrated on writing new material and focusing on becoming a tighter musical unit.In January 2005 they released the six song EP "4th Street Ebonics" which was recorded at Jupiter Studios in St. Louis under the eyes and ears of Jim Callihan. Jim also laid the tracks for their follow up 7 song EP "Chabnation" which was to be released in the Fall of '05, Spring, Summer and Fall of '06 and has yet any solid date on it to be unleashed upon the world. But to their credit, they have written enough material to create three full length offerings at any given time. So fuck off. When you hear it, you're going to wonder why you even try to pretend that you rock this hard.-B.G.
