About Me
The Ruins are a 5 piece punk rock beat combo from WPB, a town commonly referred to as the Narnia of S. Fla Punk Rock. That makes them the wizards of S.F.H.C. Like the Wizards of Yore, they are old and have gnarly, special powers. Individually, each member was a formidable rock mage, but when they joined forces in 2006, they became an unstoppable force, campaigning for what’s right and good: namely, drugs, prostitution, Nascar, & macramé owls. When not punking out to the max in the enchanted retirement forest of WPB, the Ruins can be found luxuriating around their Olympic sized pool & sex grotto, abusing their servants, crashing their luxury automobiles into trees, & kickin’ it with the local celebs. Like Rik Flair, Celine Dion, The Donald, & the dude who played “John†on CHIPS. Way rad brah! How’s that for punk credibility?
Now, for you utterly humorless assholes who want the facts…Here’s the straight dope:
The Ruins are,
Vocals/Sass Attack: Bob Chicken
Bass/Vocal/Unicorn Specialist: Tim Ruin
Drums/Dreamcatchers: Tony Sacc
Rhythm Guitar/Vocal/ Aromatherapist: Drew Craig
Lead Guitar/Wolf & Native American Painter: Johnny Ruin
In their brief career, the Ruins have had the honor of sharing the stage with the following supergroups: The Circle Jerks, Lower Class Brats, Lucky Stiffs, The Generators, Killing California, Smut Peddlers, 25 Ta Life, Sworn Enemy, Tijuana Knife Fight, The Darlings, Marky Ramone, Angel City Outcasts, & Flatfoot 56.
They’ve also had the pleasure of playing with local sass merchants F, the Beligerents, the Basiks, Unit Six, F.A.T.E., the Hellhounds, Die Stinkin’, You’re Already Dead, & Red State Riot.
Releases: Forthcoming 45rpm short player on Art-Defecto Records. Working title- “Never Mind the Brodeo, it’s the Ruinsâ€. Shopping full length to big label monoliths in the hopes that some genius will pick up the tab for our prodigious drug & prostitution habits (we prefer to call them hobbies).
