Music is recreation. Music is not a business. Music is not a product to be bought and sold. You can dress it up like one, but it's all a damned lie. It's one thing to be fairly compensated for the time you spent performing for people, Its one thing to sell records, which in and of themselves can be works of art, but another thing to pretend that digital files created to advertise your performance are worth a buck a piece. We distribute/whore out free albums. Everything is/will be up and available to download for FREE! Will the artists still sell hard copies of their music? Sure, why not? But nothing builds a fan base faster than free music.
