SOU(L+MI)ND: A fusion of soul and mind. The creation of music through an individuals conscious as well as their subconscious. SOUND can be HipHop, Rock, R&B, Jazz, Funk, Blues, Punk, noise or any other genre of music because SOUND comes from the passions and emotions of every musicians heart, manifesting itself through the brain in an infinite amount of forms and styles.
SOU(L+MI)ND does not discriminate against any musical instrument or technique because the real instrument is each individual musician, conveying their message to the audience. SOUND is the yearning of every musician not to follow the trend but to push envelope to forever trigger new styles and bring about a new state of consciousness to their surrounding environments.
soulplusmind started as an idea in the Spring of 2002 while sitting in one of my classes at CSUN. The concept and design floated around in my head and after sitting on the idea for a couple of months, the resources finally became available and the company took form. A year later, in 2004, the website was manifested. soulplusmind is still in its infancy stages and will continue to grow, experiment and adapt for year to come. Today soulplusmind is an outlet for myself and musicians alike to display their music and share their emotions with the world.
With the birth of SOU(L+MI)ND followed the creation of soulplusmind clothing. While the musician created soulplusmind clothing, anyone with a passion and love for music can enjoy these threads. Music is for everyone and because of this SOU(L+MI)ND clothing is for everyone. There are no limitations, just like there are no limitations in music. The possibilities are endless.
