Bored with the previous profile, kids. I'll be back with something new soon. As for an update on my work for anyone interested, my first remix for The Mars Volta was released on Universal Records a couple of months back as their second UK Single. It was for 'Tourniquet Man' off of their latest album, 'Bedlam In Goliath'. Besides a 12" single, it was also released on USB with a few other goodies and an El-P (Company Flow) remix as well. I am now finishing my second remix off of their same album. This one is for 'Agadez' and is becoming quite the little journey. Also be on the lookout for a remix I just finished with Scotty Coats for a group out of Brooklyn, New York called Free Blood. All I can say is they are doing it and doing it well - and Scotty got tribal. The track we 'mangled' is entitled 'Weekend Condition' and will be released on Rong Music later this year. On a little side note, the word is it's the group's favorite remix. : ) Last but not least, the previous track Coats and I produced for Rong in 2007 entitled 'Double Fisted' (an original tune on a very limited 1-sided Japanese release) was just remixed by Prins Thomas and Juan Maclean, founder of 'grammy nominated' DFA. All 3 of these titles should be out by this summer. More is in the works, but I'm not about to jinx anything. ; )
