About Me

I was born in Harlem to a single parent mother and 3 older sister's. During the early years of my life, my mother had the responsibility of just raising my youngest of my older sister's and myself. Though my mother had a college degree, she still had to struggle to put food on the table and clothes on our backs. I never had the finer things in life but my mother made me happy with the things she was able to get me. As a child I attended P.S. 92 and St. Aloysius Gonzaga Middle School both in Harlem. Then I later attended Cardinal Hayes High School (Hayes '98) in the Bronx.
Growing up I had a love for sports. I played baseball for the Harlem Little League Organization. I could've gone pro had I stuck with baseball. Pushing baseball aside, I tried my hand at basketball. I wasn't the best on the block but I was good enough to be. Knowing that sports wasn't going to take me anywhere, I turned to my alternative route, which was music.
Music was always something I liked but it wasn't until 1993 that I heard the album that would change my life forever. Wu-Tang Clan's "Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)", was that album. I played that cassette from front to back riding the train and on the ferry during my many frequent trips to Staten Island. It wasn't until the 8th grade I started writing mini rhymes. And in the summer of '94, a cousin of mine and a friend would heighten my will to write rhymes. Seeing and hearing my friend freestyle over instrumentals made me upgrade the way I wrote and said my raps I had written. Moving along into my high school years I would write rhymes in class and record them at home using two radios. One radio playing the instrumental and the other recording my vocals. I had a friend in school that was a DJ. I would pay him to put instrumentals on tapes for me to use. Not just focusing on one thing, I begged my mother to buy me a DJ set. She refused. I later came into some money and brought the DJ set and records myself and practiced scratches and cuts that I had heard on the radio. Till this day I still have the same turntables and mixer. Not forgetting about my rapping, I wanted to rhyme over unheard beats. I was tired of not having my own. And at that time I didn't know anyone who made beats so I wanted to learn myself. I brought a drum machine and would craft out drum patterns. Getting nowhere with that, my production was put on hold. Knowing that there was more to making music than just beats and rhymes I wanted to attend a school that would help me with that. I attended the Institute of Audio Research (IAR 2005), and learned more on music production as well as the aspects of being an audio engineer. Not having any place to record or the amount of money to pay hourly rates at a recording studio, I used the knowledge I obtained at IAR to build a studio. I saved money that I worked for and brought the equipment that would help me build my own studio.
With music running through my veins and my family counting on me to bring forth a better life for the future. I'm ready to display my lyrical talent to the world. With a passion for music and collecting sneakers, I want to inspire those who listen to me and give the message or the feeling that life is what you make it.
Don't save for tomorrow, what you can do today.
