Yes, I've been sassin up the stages since I was a young'un:) singing/dancing/acting in musical theatre, choirs, bands, & T.V./film/theatre. Annoying, right?
My Gemini mind and accompanying personalities stear me towards different styles of music - love Nina Simone jazzy blues, love the obvious Aretha's and ladies of the Motown and Soul era. Can get into Blondie for days... Then we have Erykah Badu, Miss L. Hill, Portishead, Esthero, on into Tori Amos, Imogen Heap, Thievery Corp, Cat Power... the eclectic list goes on...
I've been blessed to work with Luigi Gonzales (Taylor Dane, Grammy-nominated, etc.), Danny Saber (Marilyn Manson, Garbage, Esthero, etc.), Robb Boldt (Fergie, Carmen Electra, etc.), Jeff Pescetto (Accomplished songwriter/soundtracks/prod), Josh One, Christian Delano, and more:) I have written a ridiculous number of songs, most of which haven't been recorded, and love writing for films...and being in them:)
I have music on MTV, videogames, and film soundtracks. I've gigged all over Illinois & California in big venues like House of Blues, Key Club, Viper Room etc, including the National Anthem at the Clippers and Lakers games. Perform much? Yes, I love the energy of the audience baby! Not to mention a little Jack Daniel's to warm up the ole throat. With a former group, i have opened for Lupe Fiasco, Lyrics Born, Digital Underground, Sir Mix-a-lot and put out a self-released album (on I-Tunes, etc.).
I'm in a group called The Tainted Angels - we have performed around town at Key Club, Vanguard, etc. - sangin rock like Zepplin, Prince, Pat Benatar, GNR - 5 hotties that really sing and dance, with 10 girls on stage is quite an experience:) We start workin originals soon with Rob Lewis (Christina Aguilera, Chrisette Michelle - love her! Danity Kane, Babyface, etc.) ...
