About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorHello - this is my acoustic music. Some the recordings on this page are quite old so I guess you'll have to see me live to really get the full picture. I was recently told that these tracks don't really capture how I sing so I'll try to get some newer recordings a.s.a.p. In the meantime, have a listen to what there is and try get down to see me if you like what you hear.

I also play guitar for the various versions of Leeds hip-hop band, AfroPhysics. We are available for acoustic gigs, but also like to play with a full band (drums, bass, guitars, brass section, backing vox) and rock it up a bit. Check us out in the Friends section below.

Get in touch if you'd like to offer me a gig or for any other info.

This is an old video of me and my mate Beth covering a Queens Of The Stone Age track at The Packhorse in Leeds. (03/02/07)

Band Members: When it's the acoustic stuff, it's usually just me. However, you might be lucky enough to see me with the wonderfull Beth singing as well, or occasionally other musicians and singers.
Influences: I guess these don't ALL influence my acoustic songs but they influence my guitar playing and singing or my compositions or how I want to sound...

Sounds Like: "...kinda like James Morrison but not a big ugly prick" - John Crow, Braintree. Essex. (July ’07)

"Baxter’s easy banter and natural stage presence gave his songs, both originals and covers, a lightness akin to acoustic soul searchers like James Morrison. His voice, however, raised the bar: in songs like "Lost" and "Look Away", his was the sexiest you’d hear this side of Morrison and Ray LaMontagne’s love child." - Gennelle Smith.
