About Me

In The Quiet Land (By Daw Aung San Suu Kyi) In the Quiet Land, no one can tell if there's someone who's listening for secrets they can sell. The informers are paid in the blood of the land and no one dares speak what the tyrants won't stand. In the quiet land of Burma, no one laughs and no one thinks out loud. In the quiet land of Burma, you can hear it in the silence of the crowd. In the Quiet Land, no one can say when the soldiers are coming to carry them away. The Chinese want a road; the French want the oil; the Thais take the timber; and SLORC takes the spoils... In the Quiet Land.... In the Quiet Land, no one can hear what is silenced by murder and covered up with fear. But, despite what is forced, freedom's a sound that liars can't fake and no shouting can drown.Burma is rich in culture, tradition and resources, but the leaders of our country has 4gotten about it's people. How can a country so rich be so poor? everything is politics. but it's my wish that a leader would be born, and lead the burmese to freedom. Aung san su kyi is a good leader but i believe that someone who believes in the people should stand up and lead also. lets not let the blood shed be a waste, IT IS TIME.Burma is home to 53 million people, and one of the world's worst human rights-abusing military dictatorships in the world. The list of human rights abuses is staggering:-- Systematic Military Rape -- More Child Soldiers Than Any Other Country in the World (70,000), many of whom are abducted, drugged, beaten, and forced to fight -- State Torture and Extrajudicial Executions (Murder) -- 1,100 Political Prisoners, including Nobel Peace Prize Winner Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of the pro-democracy movement -- Forced Labor - a "modern form of slave labor" -- 700,000 Refugees Fleeing Fighting and the Burning of Their Villages -- HIV/AIDS Epidemic -- A Destroyed Educational and Health System - the Military Government spends less than 2% of the National Budget on Health and Education Combined, and 40%+ on the Military -- The Longest Currently-running Armed Conflicts in the WorldCheck Out the Website, www.uscampaignforburma.org to join our listserve and find out what you can do to help. And you can help.

My Interests

.. WHO WOULD SHOOT A DEFENSELESS MONK! The military in Burmese are cowards, this monk stood selfless for human rights! These soldiers stand for other peoples lies and greed. They have created bad karma for their commanders for all eternity! This will be their down fall! So let the masters of peace speak...

I'd like to meet:

People who will use their freedom to fight for the freedom of Aung San Suu Kyi and the people of Burma. *People who'll boycott companies who put profit over principles and do business with the dictators in Burma. *People who'll give 2 minutes out of their life to write an email asking for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi and more than 1,100 political prisoners in Burma, who routinely face physical, mental and sexual torture. *People who'll lobby their governments to santion Burma. *People who'll pester their friends to do the same. Please take a few minutes to sign the Amnesty International's Petition to Free Political Prisoners of burma. These people cannot afford to wait! http://www.uscampaignforburma.org/
