ORIGINAL DJ MEMZEE started Ding in ‘96/’97 at house parties and stuff when the garage scene was BIG! He loved the vibe, and felt like something was missing – ME!! Myself and his friends, decided to break onto the scene. He couldn’t say there was just one person that influenced his decision into becoming a DJ, there were too many people to choose from including EZ, Tumi from Defjam at the time plus many more. Getting into the the scene was very hard, Original Dj Memzee started On Heat Fm, from there went straight to Xtreme Fm becoming the No1 Breakfast DJ for the station for 4 years, done lots of guest show with Great DJ’s from the scene, then Straight on London’s No 1 Internet Radio Station Sweet Uk Net. You can now catch Original DJ Memzee Every Saturday between 7am Till 10am on BLAZE FM 106.4 Waking Up London the right way. So far Original DJ Memzee has a clothing line in the pipeline, which is out there for all the people who have supported him so far. There’s a compilation Album to come with as well and it will be called Me Myself and I. Original DJ Memzee’s advice for any DJ that want’s to make it is in the game “Graft! You have to work hard and your dream can come TRUE!!!. If you don’t then don’t expect anything. Don’t expect to carry a job and be a DJ; you need to choose one or the other because at the end of the day, it’s longer than any 9 till 5 I know of! I choose to do it this way beacause i like involving my partner in what I do.
