About Me
[Scorpion wants to cross a river, but he can't swim.
Goes to the frog, who can, and asks for a ride.
Frog says, "If I give you a ride on my back, you'll go and sting me."
Scorpion replies, "It would not be in my interest to sting you since as I'll be on your back we both would drown."
Frog thinks about this logic for a while and accepts the deal. Takes the scorpion on his back.
Braves the waters.
Halfway over feels a burning spear in his side and realizes the scorpion has stung him after all. And as they both sink beneath the waves the frog cries out, "Why did you sting me, Mr. Scorpion, for now we both will drown?"
Scorpion replies, "I can't help it, it's in my nature."]I'm here to make new acquaintances, networking and maybe friends, with same interests, anything else will be a bonus. Ok, you win... And ROMANCE!
Entirely politically incorrect, and don't apologize for saying the truth and what I think... Not native from Australia. My background is more mixed than a cloning lab. Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and a dash of French all stirred in Brazilian soil. Very, very sensitive (so be careful with what you say) and a hopeless romantic. Done the relationship thing and I think I'm ready to do it again should the enchanted prince knock on my humble castle door. Are you there or is this just a "fairytale"? Have a passion for all things beautiful (not only the male form should you wonder): Poetry, art, nature, etc. Love cinema and hope one day make films. Don't exercise as often as I should or could, but hope is the last casualty. Would love to look hot, but don't have the discipline. Kudos to you guys who have an amazing body due to hard work. If you are naturally buffed or cut, I hate you. Have the capacity to love unconditionally. Just need to find the right soul to express that. I'm actually shy, one has to try hard to get through but if one doesn't try one will never know... Friendship is cool, but my friends will say: "Who?" I struggle to keep in touch and find time to hang out so more friends might be hard to squeeze in. But we never know what can happen tomorrow. I guess in a romantic partner would be a combination that is as changeable as the weather. Honesty above all and never is afraid to say their mind is a great asset to have. If you love outdoors (bushwalking, camping, etc) you're my type of guy. Rough on the edges and a softy inside. Soft not weak, I like strong minded people. If you don't have an opinion you don't have my attention.
Love reading... Read all the time and get anxious if I don't. Andre Gide is one of my favourites together with Virginia Woolf. Read Orlando a few times and love the film as well. Saw several times. Even added the name Orlando as a second name (that's how far I go when I love something). Films are my greatest passion, ask almost any question and I will probably know. Film geek really. Have many favourite actors from the legends like Newman, Brando and Nicholson to these hot young things like Jake, Garcia Bernal, etc. But actresses have a special place on my Gods Pantheon, there just are so many amazing ones out there, but somehow I tend to fall in love with a few from time to time. Many have held my worship, from Bette Davis (who remains holding it strong) to Katherine Hepburn and Glenn Close. More recently Susan Sarandon had the 1st place, now I have re-discovered Meryl Streep (since Angels in America), but the number one at the moment and I think she will be for sometime is definitely Cate Blanchett, that woman simply cannot act badly! She's good in everything she does even if the film itself doesn't hold its own. Losing the Oscar to Gwyneth was Oscar's second biggest mistake. The first was Crash winning over Brokeback Mountain, I mean, I like Crash but Brokeback is a much superior film, not just because touches on the gay subject, just is a better film. One of these films that everything works in harmony from the screenplay to direction, through acting, soundtrack and an amazing cinematography is absolutely beautiful. I love dancing... Nothing like a loud tune and a very bad singing along from my part to elevate my spirit! But haven't been going out clubbing much, I guess I’m sick of the attitude of the gay partying scene. Never a big fan of bars, but go where friends are or if meeting someone. Very cheap drinker by the way. Going through a time of reflection and rediscovering of the things that really matter in one's life... Having said that I leave with the words of the character Roy Cohn from the awesome Angels in America: "Next time round, I wanna come as an octopus..."

"I am a stranger to myself. I hear my tongue speak, but my ears find that voice strange. I may see my hidden self laughing, crying, defiant frightened, and thus does my being become enamored of my being and thus my soul begs my soul for explanation. But I remain unknown, hidden, shrouded in fog, veiled in silence."
[by K. Gibran]"I've wrestled with reality for 35 years, doctor, and I'm happy to state I finally won out over It."- [Elwood in 'Harvey']
