Incorporating the piano as the forefront instrument that swims in a sea of rock, pop, and soul, Lenny Revell's a modern-day torch-bearer for the personas of Elton John and Billy Joel. He carries on the tradition of timeless, catchy melodies packaged in everyday lessons reflecting human nature.
BIO:
Lenny Revell's musical roots started in Buffalo, NY where at the age of nine, he started piano lessons. Only seven years later, he wrote his first song, and at nineteen, began singing lessons. While playing various piano recitals in nursing homes, churches, and institutions in the WNY area, his love for audience grew. In his late teens, he played at the Lewiston Art Fest in Western New York and at the Canal Fest of the Tonawandas (NY); where he returned for other performances. During these performances, he was brandished as the "next Elton John." Many cities followed, with a concert in Branson, MO, a TV appearance in Nashville, TN, and opening for a model show in Toronto, Canada. Lenny's become a familiar face at the most popular piano bars and clubs on the NYC circuit, including "Don't Tell Mama," "Rosa's Turn," "George Keeley's," "Duplex," and many more.
Having acted in two operas within the Greater Buffalo Opera Company under world renowned opera director Gary Burgess: Carmen and The Flying Dutchman, and modeled for Rova in NYC. Lenny released his Debut Album 'Lessons' in September 2006, preparing for his move to The Big Apple.
Lenny's cd: 'Lessons' has been reviewed in Keyboard Magazine, Teen Ink Magazine and radio stations with great interest. His song "Who Am I?" was played throughout Regal, Lowes, and AMC theatres across the country through the Month of May 2007, in celebration of Spider-Man 3. His track, "Love Is Just Her Fix" was chosen as the theme song for independant actress and filmaker Angie Gregory's indie-short "Gone Like Solomon." Traveling frequently between his basecamp in NYC and Buffalo, he's won 1st place in Buffalo's own "Spy Guy Talent Show," run by Rick Rhodes and Norm Skulski.
Aside from his musical accomplishments, Lenny is also into nutrition, alternative medicine, eastern philosophy, and a certified instructor in Bruce Lee's art of Jeet Kune Do under Sifu Shane Dixon.

Change

What others have to say:

"Len is a god on piano" - Joe Castanza of pop/rock band 'The Great Mistake'

"What struck me immediately was that he's obviously been playing piano and keyboards for most of his life. He makes it look easy." - Christian Fisher of wnymusic

"Hometown boy Lenny Revell has made a name for himself on the singer-songwriter circuit." - Jamie Moses "publisher of ArtVoice magazine"

"Lenny Revell's music suggests a modern-day Elton John with a strong voice and serious piano chops!" - Jeff Miers "Buffalo News Pop Music Critic"

"Lenny Revell is a talented guy. He really is. That’s pretty much as bottom line and straight forward as you can get. Revell truly is the real deal. He can sing and play the piano very well. He's one of those hidden gems you can’t help but pull for to make it big in the long run." - Brian Campbell "Rochesterathome.com"

"Revell shows talent and promise as a vocalist and lyricist, and displays a knack for progressions that go well beyond three-chord pop." - Robbie Gennet of "Keyboard Magazine" Click Here For The Full Review

"Lenny Revell is a rare gem, indeed. Part man, part dragon, all Rock and Roll. Honing his skills on the mean streets of the Queen City, he's created a unique blend of power-pop and Ninja Chop that can only be described as a REVELL-ation to the music scene today. His exodus from Buffalo, along with that of his comic-rock, boy-toy contemporaries, Team RamRock, has left a void in the ears, hearts, and souls of WNY. If only the Ghost of Rick James could rise again and save us" - Chris Biondoliollo of "Central Park Grill"

Lessons” is an album with songs of spontaneous delight, dark humor and vivid romance. Revell provides vocal talent with a varying range (sometimes deep and rigid, sometimes campy), which really captures his creative personality. - Paul Monaca of "Teen Ink Magazine" Click Here For The Full Review
