Singer/Songwriter and Nashville Recording Artist Amanda Nagurney was born in Buffalo, NY on August 13,1988 and grew up in the suburbs of Buffalo. She began listening to country music at a very young age and realized by the age of seven that singing and performing is what she loved to do. She began taking vocal lessons and started singing all genres of music from Country to Christian, Pop to Rock, Jazz to Motown and Classical to Broadway. She took any chance she could to perform through charitable events, contests, performances, school concerts, and singing the National Anthem. She has had many accomplishments including Winner of Chautauqua Idol, finalist in Colgate Country Showdown at the state level, finalist in Buffalo’s Italian Idol, Amherst Idol and Buffalo Idol where she sang to pop star Gavin Degraw. She has sung the National Anthem for the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, World's Toughest Rodeo and the Buffalo Bison's. Amanda has worked with many local bands including JB Aaron, Wildfire and she was a part of a local Show Band called The Diva Show that one Best New Group for 2007 at The Buffalo Music Awards. She has recently left her show band to pursue her country music career.
Throughout her education, Amanda has studied voice, piano, guitar, violin and dance. While currently attending college for music education, she is also involved with teaching others, rehearsing in her new Country Band Copperhead Road which will debut at this year’s 6th Annual Polish Heritage Festival, working on her own music, recording her debut album, and actively involved with outside vocal projects. Being a philanthropist, she has sung for many local charities including: The Ride for Roswell, Connecticut Street Armory, Fort Drum for the Severely Disabled, Children's Hospital, Hunters Hope, Red Cross, and many others. She has also performed on the 2006 Christmas CD benefiting the Food Bank of Western NY and 2 other local CD’s.
But while on a trip to Nashville Amanda toured the Country Music Hall of Fame and recorded at the famous Ryman Auditorium, it was here as she learned the history of country music and found this is where her heart lies. Amanda has opened for Nashville Recording Artists: the John Corbett Band, Locash Cowboys, Sammy Kershaw, Joe Nichols, Phil Vassar, and Miranda Lambert.
Amanda is currently working on her Debut Album entitled “Gettin Out of This Town†which will be released soon. Amanda returned from recording in Nashville on Music Row at Soundshop Studio’s where some of country’s greatest have recorded such as Brook’s & Dunn, Trisha Yearwood, Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts and many others. Amanda is staying busy with her band Copperhead Road and doing her own performances. The spotlight isn't the only thing shining while she's onstage. With Amanda’s many years of vocal training, determination and drive, her love for performing brings excitement and adventure to any stage!
