I was born on the banks of the Mohawk River in Amsterdam, NY. A carpet manufacturing town. It is the hometown of screen legend, Kirk Douglas who came back once for a parade, and to have a park named after him. My very earliest musical memory is from about 4 or 5, I remember hearing my dad downstairs playing guitar and singing, "King Of The Road". From that moment on, music has been an important part of my life. My formulative years were soundtracked by The Beatles, The Cowsill's, and The Monkee's. My first radio experience came at Union College in Schenectady. I had a regular show on the campus radio station, WRUC. I was among the first to play artists like: Devo, B-52's, Joan Jett, Go-Go's and so many more wonderful "NEW WAVE" groups. What a fun, crazy time. My first professional broadcasting job came later at WIZR in Johnstown, NY. Since then I have been on the air at, WSRD, WENT, WCSS, WKOL and currently I am Program Director & Afternoon Jock at WCJW, "CJ Country" Radio in western New York. (www.wcjw.com). I am a freelance music writer with articles published in "Music Row" , "Country Weekly", "New Music Weekly" and others. I have won a New York State Broadcasters award for "Best Radio Documentary" and also voted "Country Music Director" of the year 2006 and "Country Radio Station Of The Year" 2007 by New Music Weekly
