Singer and songwriter, she performed both as a vocalist and as a musician in clubs from dance to pop and rock music. In 2000 she took part to a musical program on a popular Italian tv channel till getting’ to the finals, after some auditions within thousands of girls. After this interlude, she focused on the writing of her own music which in 2001 she performed on the stage of the “I TIM TOURâ€, one of the most famous Italian summer event. On the same year, she met the rock singer, composer and producer STEFANO LUMINE who worked with EMI and WARNER BROS and who took her for backing vocals to open for Biagio Antonacci, winner of the “World Music Awards†as Best-Selling Italian Male Artist in 2005 at Kodak-Theatre of Hollywood (LA). In 2003 she performed with band in HARD ROCK CAFE' in Rome. From that point, she was involved with Lumine’ Staff and she has also collaborated in some of Stefano’s new songs studio recording as backing vocal. With Stefano, who is an arranger and composer and who in his albums boasts important collaborations, even with some musicians of Vasco Rossi, she decided to record three of her songs. Everything happened in Bologna (Italy) at the beginning of 2005. The big production, which helped her throughout this period, saw the participations of important musicians of the Italian scenery. After taking part in some contests, for example the San Marino Festival, it was in the summer of 2006 that two of the three songs they recorded in Bologna, titled “Talk About†and “Wonder Whyâ€, had been chosen as part of the soundtrack of an Italian film by Jerry Cala' (an Italian comedy actor) called “Vita Smeralda†(at the cinemas on July ’06). In the same summer, she also had the chance to open some of James Brown and B.B. King’s Italian shows as Stefano Lumine’s backing vocals and as solo singer. In 2007 they moved into New York for writing new tracks and looking forward to reply and feedback. In November 2007, at the end of one of his concerts at the B.B. King's Club in Time Sq., New York, B.B. King welcame them carring on a conversation on music, on shared Italian gigs and Life. Thanks to that meeting, Mary Anne and Stefano were acquainted with people who, after listening her project, introduced them to the promoters of the benefit event "The Eleventh Annual Black Nutcracker" staged by the Uptown Dance Academy (UDA). So, on the 22nd of December, 2007 they performed her music as guests, at the Hostos Center for Arts & Culture in the Bronx, New York.
