Plug-In is an Instrumental Metal band from Bordeaux, France.
When Fanalo (Guitars) and video games musician Elmobo (Bass) met in 1998, they decided to form Plug-In, an instrumental metal band. With the help of Pierre Belleville (Drums, now in Lofofora), they gave a few shows as a trio. In march 1999, they released 5 tracks EP called "..0.9". When Pierre left for Paris, the band was sort of stuck in limbo... In march 2001, they were given the opportunity to open for Bumblefoot, so they decided restart the engine. Jean-Do (Nihil, Viridiana...) joined the band as the new drummer, and old friend Jean Fontanille took the second guitar. The show went rather smoothly, so smoothly that Fanalo and Elmobo decided to start composing for a new album. So smoothly that, a few months later, Ron Thal asked them to become Bumblefoot members for his next french tour. The 2002 Bumblefoot tour was quite an experience with its share of bad and wonderful memories. in 2003, Ron took the frenchies to Amsterdam to play at the Headway Festival along with bands like Freak Kitchen, Pain Of Salvation, Prototype... And this is the place where they started the march 2005 Bumblefoot/Freak Kitchen European mini-tour...
Now, the recording of the new Plug-In album is almost done, featuring many excellent guests like Ron Thal, Mattias Eklundh, Patrick Rondat, Andy Timmons, Christophe Godin and Sylvain Coudret...
About the tracks on the player :
- "HiJack" is the title track of our new album.
- "Conkrete" is another track from the new album. It features a solo by Sylvain Coudret (Scarve) on the middle part, and a lenghty evolving solo by Fanalo on the second half of the tune.
- "Lifetime" and "Ultimate Groove" are taken from our first 5 tracks EP.
