Maybe it was some Billy Joel tune... But, who cares? There are no guilty pleasures here; music is music. It's about how you feel and who you really are. In The Fire is in search of that truth. Music is something with which all people can identify. It's something that can bring us all together while we travel our separate paths.In The Fire formed in 2002 united by the voice and guitar of Micah Burdick. Whether it's the "banjo-like" intro to "Sway" or the colorful chords of "In The Fire", this group brings together the influences of jazz, rock, folk, and country to create something timeless. Music to grow with.Sometimes odd time signatures best express the uneven beat of our lives. Sometimes, even at an arrival moment, the chord of our hopes is broken with dissonance. None the less, In The Fire is about hope, faith, and passion. If you speak with any member, you can expect that whereever you are or whereever you've been, one of them has been there. But, here they stand with a flame that never fades.This mid-west fourpiece with heart blends unobtrusive time signatures and compelling melodies with songwriting about life's experience and the human condition to ignite the hearts of those who will listen.
