Hey.. look it's THE GILLIGANS!
For Immediate Release:March 1st, 2008: Still wanting to “wave the flag” some more in regards to classic Mid-Western power pop, and spurred on by a positive critical response to their 2007 debut disc: SNORING WITH AN ACCENT, we’re thrilled to announce that direct from the Land Of Lincoln, The Gilligans are back in (the indie-pop) business!
Original members guitarist/ songwriter Todd Borsch & vocalist/ songwriter Dan McKenzie have reconvened in the New Year with multi-instrumentalist David Krieger assuming bass guitar duties and local live music vet Scott Pellican behind the drum kit to begin work on a second set of all original material.
Signed to the Ear Theory Recordings label and once again under the production guidance of Hiram Gleafic (Gleafic Brothers Productions) The Gilligans have booked multiple sessions at Upstairs Downstairs Studio in scenic Princeton, IL. for 2008, and have started to forge ahead to assemble another full length collection of garage tinged pulsating guitar pop as well as hopefully undertake the occasional blistering live performance in a venue near you.
