Kimberly Brown, is Miss Black California USA 2008. A Voice of Hope is Kimberlys platform during her 2008 reign. Her mission is to inspire todays youth to be the best they can be in any circumstance.A Voice of Hope is set to go underway January 2008. Kimberly plans to use her talents to reach out to the communities youth through mentoring and performing arts programs.The Miss Black U.S.A. Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit corporation in the state of Maryland, recognized under the 501(c)3 code of the Internal Revenue Service. The Miss Black USA Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc., was founded in 1986 by Karen Arrington.
It is the mission of the Miss Black U.S.A. Pageant to provide educational opportunities to outstanding young women of color and to develop the whole woman mind, body, and spirit.The Miss Black U.S.A. Pageant celebrates scholastic achievement and believes that education is the key to lifelong success and empowerment. Miss Black USA also promotes education and leadership by providing scholarships opportunities to its winners.Miss Black California USA, Kimberly M. Browns goal, is to use this pageant and the title she holds as a tool to promote her platform, A Voice of Hope. Kimberly has always been an advocate for youth mentoring and performing arts programs and wants to use this title to help bring more attention to todays youth. With the help of programs like Big Brother/Big Sister of North America, YADA Theater, and Girls Inc., Kimberly wants to tackle the task of inspiring todays youth through words of wisdom, tutoring, performing arts, and exposing them to what this world has to offer.It is Kimberlys hope, to touch one child at a time. I dont know where I would be if I didnt have positive role models to set an example for me. And with that statement, it is her mission to give back what so many wonderful people have given to her.
