About Me

I still say I live in Atlanta by accident, but we have been in Austin since August. It's not quite "home" yet. I still have to look up directions to get anywhere, I don't know which boutiques to go to, who has the best jeans, or where my favorite place to eat is... though I think Vespaio may top the list. I'm in a constant search for the best sushi and a great wine list. Now that we live close enough to friends and family I feel like we are traveling a lot or hosting people in town. We bought a house and it still isn't fully decorated. I hear that takes a while... I long to own a clothing boutique and want to find my benefactor who will support this endeavor.I love to eat out, shop, drink wine, run, run road races, hang out with friends, volunteer, travel, read, go camping, giving presents, opening presents, animals, family and friends.... and celebrity gossip.

My Interests

Cooking, eating, shopping, wine, Live music, Law and Order (SVU), watching funny tv/movies, camp, Kayaking, dinner parties, camping, eating out, working out, shopping, , going to new places to eat... in no particular order.

So, in the wake of unemployment, I began a blog to describe my woes and lamentations.  I think I’m a better writer when looking at the negatives :)  Anyway, it’s sporadic at best...

It was a hard day

So I awoke this morning knowing that today was my last day at St. James.  I got up early to write my "goodbye".  Words flowed much more quickly than I thought.  I didn't want to get too...

So, I'm moving...

Yes, I'm excited to be moving "home."  That is clear, I mean, who could resist Austin, Tx?  However, it's a bit nerve wracking.  It's like starting the first day at a new school, y...

Yah, I've been saying that I should... it's only like 6.5 miles or something, well today I got my chance.  I'm going to say it wasn't a good choice for today.  Why?  Well, when you crav...

In mourning

So there are these 2 cats that spend time around our neighborhood and around our house.  I am a self proclaimed non cat lover.  However, I basically love all animals and want for none of the...
