Sounds Like: THE SOUND OF BOOTYS SHAKING!!!Brooklyn's own Groove Bros are swooping in to topple all notions that the lines of hip-hop music cant be blurred. It takes an act with talent and charisma to really cause a stir. With a sound that mirrors Outkast's ingenuity and brings back the Beastie Boys party-inducing flavor, The Groove Bros rock the mic like a bunch of New Yorkers who have obviously studied their dirty south peers. With a surprise attack on peoples pre conceived notions, The Groove Bros musical shenanigans prove that different styles of hip hop can creatively co-exist and completely rock your socks off! The Groove Bros consist of lyricist and drummer Humble (Michael Halpern), and his brother, lyricist and bassist Dr. Delic (Steven Halpern). Within the last year The Groove Bros have updated their sound with their monster backing band "The Whole Damn Family. Because of Humble's past as a drummer he really only had one person in mind to fill the drum seat in this amazing group. The only name really suitable is Jim"Jimborino" Saint -Amour. Jim has the chops and the open mind needed to be in a band with another drummer. Tiffani Barbour is always a welcomed addition to any Groove Bro related project. Tiffani has been working with The Groove Bros since 1998 when their phenominal group "Big Jack Fan Club" first starting ripping up the scene. They always had packed houses, buzz, and even had a couple record deals thrown their way too. Jonathan "Chuck" Plummer is the instrumental veteran of the group. Having been rocking with The Bros for over 2 and a half years now. He can remeber the sound when it was 3 emcees, a DJ, and him sooo if you need to find out "The Dirt" holla @ him. One of the most powerful aspects of The Groove Bros is their live performance. Their raw energy, musical prowess and room filling sound reminds people of some of the best rock bands out there. Humble & Delic know how to work a stage with humor, finesse, style, and confidence. Humble, Dr. Delic, and The Whole Damn Family have accumulated years of experience playing their instruments, rhyming, producing, and just generally entertaining every person around. Whether they hit you with their fresh bangin beats, catchy hooks, clever rhymes or just general antics; it would be a safe bet that every audience would be mesmerized by some aspect of this musical entity! The group's exceptional musicianship has been on display recently. As of late The Groove Bros have been honing their production chops. Working on an unbelievable hybrid collaboration With Jahdan The Lyrical Gun Gourdon lead vocalist for the phenomenal Noble Society. Gaining buzz by the busload for their uncommon soundscapes with Jahdan, their phone has been ringing off the hook. In the past year The Groove Bros have been working on songs for Bisc 1, Creature, MC Yummy,The Mariella Show, The Couture Ink with much more in store. Their production debut on Northern States debut album Dying In Stereo received huge critical acclaim, including 4 stars in Rolling Stone Magazine, and huge positive feedback from the whole musical community. There is no doubt that The Groove Bros have something to offer everyone. Their energy and clever creativity is unparalleled in a time where the public is thirsting for someone to say something new and different. These guys have it going on! Dont let the good times pass you by!
