About Me

Over the past couple of years since they released Raised By Wolves, the line-up of Fitzgerald has gone through several changes. Fitzgerald had always been Nathan and Mandy Tensen Woolery. After the release of the album they swelled to up to nine people on stage, but eventually settled on four: Nathan, Mandy, Gilbert and Adam. As time went on, Nathan and Mandy began to concentrate their combined efforts on their new electronica project, Ghost In The Water (myspace.com/ghostinthewater). As it stands right now, Fitzgerald will be the solo outlet of Nathan. He's wanted to pursue these new songs for a while now, and this seemed to afford the best opportunity. Hope you like the new songs! Check out the N.G.T. Woolery link for even more of the new stuff. Thanks! ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------Bio released with Raised By Wolves: Nathan and Mandy Tensen-Woolery are the husband and wife duo behind Fitzgerald. Musical collaborators since they were high school lovebirds, the two have been creating music together for more than a decade. Since the release of 2003s Light a Match and Burn it Slowly, Fitzgerald have gained a strong following and praise in the press. Initially a traditional indie folk duo, Fitzgeralds sound has matured and branched out over time, documented by records that creatively step over the lines between pop/experimental and electro/acoustic. Their deft layering of sounds, atmospheric compositions, and engaging live show have garnered a worthy buzz and anticipation for another record. Their newest effort, Raised by Wolves, captures the band exploring a broader, more orchestrated soundscape while expanding on their trademark harmonies and adept songwriting. Raised by Wolves should help them outrun the indie folk tag with its beautiful tunes that tiptoe and explode. The record was engineered and co-produced by Darren Jackson (Kid Dakota, Olympic Hopefuls) and Eric Applewick (Vicious Vicious, Tapes 'n Tapes, The Hopefuls). Drumming virtuoso Martin Dosh (Fog, Andrew Bird, Dosh) appears as a guest musician. Accompanied on stage by an ever-expanding crew of musicians, Fitzgerald fills out their core sound with laptop, keyboards, organ, clarinet, cello, sleigh bells, and at times, even a small choir.
