ABOUT THE BAND
Look Alive is a Minneapolis-based quadra of friends (Timothy Mader-Brown, Todd Anderson, Steve Goold, and Paul Schoolmeesters) who enjoy playing music. All four of the members of Look Alive follow the teachings of the Gospel, and therefore much of the music is about the joys and struggles of their journeys. They play music out of joy and the sheer love of sounds.
Formed in the Spring of 2002, their first album was constructed and recorded in the months to follow. They have since performed numerous shows. Currently, they've taken a brief hiatus from playing venues to spend their hours in the studio polishing up their latest album. Look for it to hit the open market with a bang latein the fall of 2006.
ABOUT THE SOUND
Their sound has been deemed everything from art-rock to power-pop, and we can't decide which is "correct." What can be said for sure is that the music is defined by delicious tones, tasty licks, mind-blowing rhythms, and grooving bass lines. Different people seem to get different things out of it, but it is no doubt something that you dont want to miss. You should just listen and decide for yourself.
