First and foremost I RESCUE WOLVES AND WOLFDOGS, I work with an incredible group of rescuers (WolfDogRescueResources). But more on that in a moment...first, here is some info about my daily life:
I live in the Mountains of New Mexico, with my husband Aldred, and my Wolf and Wolfdogs & other Critters. I have planted an orchard and some berry bushes, so I am now hoping for a good crop of Organics:)! We live on a dirt road, in a pine forest on a mountain, and it can be a pretty secluded life.
Pellet Stove in the Living Room, Wood Stove in the Bedroom, Well Water, 'Snowed In' Winters, and no high speed internet..wow!! Jeremiah Johnson anywhere abouts??? HA!

My Husband was born on the Santa Ana Pueblo in NM (reservation on his dads side), and spent alot of time also on his moms reservation, San Carlos Apache Reservation in Az, so he is used to remote living...and he very much loves the wilderness. I grew up in the Mountains of West Virginia, so I also appreciate the quiet and privacy of this area we live in.

My husband began helping me with my rescues after we moved to New Mexico from Los Angeles. I work with Wolf Dog rescue whenever I can, I wish I had more time and homes to provide for them.
The need is so overwhelming. What a sad and misunderstood situation..I work with a great rescue group called WRR(Wolf Rescue Resources) and we try to help place WOLVES & WOLF DOGS in need, Wolves into santuaries or helping Wolf Dogs find good homes, where they will be loved and understood.

I had alot of fun while growing up in the mountains of West Virginia...so I guess I will always be a country girl at heart. I spent most of my adult life in the city...I owned a couple of really hot hair salons, In Cleveland and Studio City California, until allergies made me leave the business. My Partner still carries on our work in NYC, and I do some designs and repairs still through the mail. SSHHH;)...'back in the day'...I made hair pieces and extensions for musicians/rock stars...yup, made those guys look pretty good!

This business is infomercial based, so I stay VERY busy...and I feel blessed to be able to make a living from my home office...close to everything I love:)!

I have always used Holistic and NATURAL HEALINGS, on 'all my family members'...Including my wolves, wolfdogs, wuffers and our other critters!
My belief in natural healings started when I was a child spending summers in the backwoods of West Virginia. I never underestimate the power of nature, herbs, formulas, organics, and just smart healthy living! I have healed myself and my family on various occasions by smart research and networking with holistic healers. I just picked up a greenhouse and will be working on growing my winter organic herbs through the winter...its a good life in these mountains.
MY PAGE is very new...but I am working on it:)! My Prayer...it to try and use my space to help The Rescue Group I work with, as they deserve all the help they can get! And above all else...TO PRAYFULLY find some homes or refuge for the many wolves and wolf dogs who so desperatly need a chance! My Interests

Wolves, WolfDogs, and my WolfDog Rescue group. Old West and Native American History/customs. Organic foods and a healthy lifestyle....any thing fun and worth a few laughs! Nothing is more important to me than my famly. I enjoy fine dining, good music, and the outdoors. Researching the Old West, Native American Stories, Mountain Men, etc. Love investigating Solar Power. I would love to go totally *green*. I would be proud to live off the grid. Always following the Real Estate market, Love checking out remote locations and properties on line. I grew up In the very rural mountains of West Virginia...so I guess I will always be a country girl at heart:)! Love my critters and garden food.

WOLF & WOLFDOG LOVERS:)! Actually..anyone in animal rescue is my hero. I am partial to Wolves, Wolfdogs, dogs and horses...but LOVE all animals. Animals have been more loyal and honest to me in my life I must say than some humans.

Always open to meeting Good people..looking for friends who are honest with themselves about who they are. Also at the top of my list.... those who are honest with others too, and capable of showing that respect.

Please friends...when responding KEEP IT TAME (no naked bods, etc.) I get enough 'Living In The Wild' out here ..trying to watch over my wuffers and dealing with nature in the forest, not looking for nudie greetings, *LOL*!
I am married and that respect comes into play.

Anything that makes me laugh, history and autobiography too:)! Too many chores around here..I dont get to watch movies as much as I would like:)!

Television:

I love the History Channel, Nancy Grace, Glenn Beck, all the news channels, CNN...Again..... sometimes I dont have time for TV.

Books:

The Bible..anything that warms the heart. I love researching wolves, and am always learning more about how to do my best in Wolf/WolfDog Rescue and placement. I have an entire library on Wolves, the Old West, Native American Customs and History, Mountain Men, and Pioneers. I really do feel I am living in the wrong century. I have a calling to the 1700/1800's, and anything written about that time period, totally intrigues me.

Heroes:

ANYONE WHO IS INVOLVED IN ANIMAL RESCUE IS MY HERO...Many small heros who are not in the limelight, but have integrity and compassion for those less fortunate....they may not get attention or live glamorous lives...but they have a giving heart. They help those who can not help themselves. Karen Cooper (please see her wolf dog rescues in my photo section) ..who co founded our rescue group and relentlessly works to save our wolf and wolf dog friends from abuse, abandonment, and starvation. Karen works with the shelters to save wolf dogs. She will drive across states and states alone to get a wolf to sanctuary or a wolfdog into a loving home. She will work at her job all night, and leave right from work with no rest to help save a wuffer. I dont know how she does it! Karen just joined MySpace too...her MS name is 'wolfdogrescuer', please visit her page! She is also in the first spot in my 'friends' section. Then Kim in our group also..who saves 'life after life', and helped me with homopathic healings to save my wolfs leg from amputation from a bad snake bite. Kim relentlessly worked to help me save my babes leg. Then Mike, Vice President of our group who handles all our transport and is another 'around the clock' devoted wolf friend...and wolfdog saviour. He will work not stop trying to organize a transport relay or whatever is necessary to save that life. Please check out our website for more information on what this great group does to save lives. I have never seen such a dedicated group of people.
ALso...My VET and beloved friend Dr. Masuma Barret, who just moved to Colorado...what a dedicated lover of animals! I met Masuma the day I took my wolfgirl in with her leg and foot swollen so huge it reminded me of a bear paw. The snake poison had poisoned her leg. Masuma stuck by me treating My wolf girl day after day...month after month to save her leg. We had to get the poison skin off and get new skin to grow. My girls leg was saved..Masuma also supported and respected my homopathic healings we were using too...so in the end all was saved. Prayers were answered.
And of course my parents. I am very fortunate to have such a WONDERFUL MOM AND DAD! Another hero...my mother in law, she is such a 'one in a million' kind, fair, and honest woman. **There are quiet, unknown heros everywhere**
