Myrsini Margariti was born in Greece, where she began her musical studies by learning violin. She has studied Opera and Lied in National Conservatory of Greece in Athens. She graduated with the mark “Excellent with distinction”. She has studied “Lied and Oratorium” and “Opera and Musictheater” (Class G. Volkert) in University Mozarteum Salzburg (“Magister Artium”, also graduated with "Excellent"). She has attended many Seminars and private lessons by: R. Lichtenstein, A. Csengery, A. West, F. Voutsinos, M. Stamataki, A. Markert, H. Rilling, G. Pisarenko, G. Janowitz, W. Holzmair a.o. In 2001 she was granted with a scholarship from “Alexandros S. Onasis Public Benefit Foundation”. She has also graduated the Department of Musicology of University of Athens. During her studies she has sung the roles of Gretel (Hänsel & Gretel, Salzburg), Muzio (World premiere of the new – discovered baroque Opera of Cesarini, Scarlatti and Caldara: Giunio Bruto, Austria and Germany), Little red riding hood (Little red riding hood and the good Wolf, Athens), Colombina (Pinocchio, Salzburg). In June of 2006 she performed the role of Zerlina (Don Giovanni) in the “Mozart’s Year” Festival (Mozarteum) and also sang the role of Serpetta (La finta giardiniera, Regie: D. Dörrie) in "Landestheater Salzburg". From September 2006 she is member of the ensemble of the "Oper - Halle" in Germany, where she has sang Xenia in Boris Godunov, Sopranistin in Hochzeiten und andere Katastrophen, Wellgunde in Rheingold, Euridice in L' Orfeo, Helene in Scarlet Pimpernel and Maria in Mar i cel. Her future engagements include Gretel, Euridice, Venus in Frau Luna, Catalina in the modern opera Juana.She is also granted with the scolarship of the "Jürgen Ponto Stiftung". Myrsini Margariti has performed extensively in Greece, Austria, Germany, Hungary. She has sung as a soloist with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Camerata Orchestra of “Friends of Music”, the Symphonic Orchestra of Athens, the Early Music Orchestras “Salzburger Hofmusik”, "LauttenCompagney Berlin", "Händelfestspielorchster" and "Hallesches Consort", the Symphonic Orchestra of the University Mozarteum, the Symphonic Orchestra and Chorus of Larissa, the Orchestra and Chorus of the Department of Musical Studies of the University of Athens. She has performed for the Ministry of Culture of Greece and the International Council for Museums , “Live Music Now Yehudi Menuhin”, “Eliot Fisk and Guittar & Friends”, “Mozart ante Portas” (Mozart’s Year), Festival Aspekte Salzburg, International Festival Bartok, International Händel Festival, Bachakademie (H. Rilling) a.o.
