Eirini was fascinated by the flute sound at the age of 17 when she decided to take up flute lessons and dedicate herself as a full time performer. She took up lessons with Beata Iwona Glinka (Principal flute of Athens Municipal Orchestra) and Nikos Nikopoulos (Principal flute of Athens Opera) at the Municipal Conservatory of Lamia (Greece) and went on to do a Bachelor of Music degree at the Aristotelian University of Thessalonica in Greece.
Whilst in Greece , Eirini enjoyed playing in a variety of ensembles and she has freelanced with many Greek orchestras. Her musical experience extends from orchestral music, musical theatre and chamber music to contemporary music. Eirini has enjoyed many first performances of Contemporary Greek composers works in various combinations at the most important festivals in Greece and abroad.
 Eirini has just completed her MMus in performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she studied with Jonathan Burgess (Principal flute of the Welsh National Opera). Currently Eirini is based in Cardiff working as a peripatetic teacher, she is a freelance flute player, a member of the Awel Ensemble (wind quintet) and the Affectus Trio (flute, harpsichord, cello).
