I have been playing the Piano & keyboard for over 10 years and my main passion is for jazz music. I played with a Trio at jam sessions and gigs in and around Manchester. With the Trio I played in, I wrote and arranged the tunes with Stuart Whitehead, who has guided me in this field. I met him at a jam session at Band On The Wall in Manchester when I was 17, and from then on we have played countless times together becoming very tight as a rhythm section for various bands. I play solo piano occasionally but prefer ensemble work. I currently live in London in my final year studying a degree in Jazz at Middlesex Uni, but originally I'm from Manchester. I was part of a Live dance act band called 'LTA' aka, Love The Action. They were on the label Phuture Lounge , for more info check out www.phuturelounge.com. We have been described as 'rare groove/house band LTA, a perfect introduction to their Bob James/Herbie Hancock infused future rare groove'. At present, I'm in a few bands, two of which are featured in the youtube videos on my page. The first is with my trio back in Manchester, which features Stuart Whitehead on Bass, & Sam Draper on Drums. The second is a brand new Quintet which was formed at uni, with Jack Kendon leading on Trumpet. Also included in this band is Jonny G - Alto/Tenor Sax, Adam King - Bass & John French - Drums. I'm currently due to finish my degree this summer. In London, I'm looking to play with people not just in the Jazz field, but also in the Broken Beat/New jazz/Disco House/Electronica scene.
