DAVID H. SIN's Life in a Nutshell:
I was Born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Currently I live in Los Angeles and am moving to NYC this summer.
If you know me well you'll know that I'm ambidextrous, lives life for laughs and am forgetful at times. I stay true to my friends and have fun laughing at slapstick comedy and crude humor. I could be outspoken and social or introverted and researved depending on the people around me. With me, you'll find the need to read between the lines sometimes.
I worked in architecture firms since 1996 in the areas of design, technical design & production of high-density multi-unit housing, Los Angeles Unified School District projects, Hilton Corp. hotel projects, and several restaurant and retail projects. Currently I'm working Downtown Los Angeles in a firm specializing in high-density residential building projects.
I enjoy working in the real world dealing with real world problems. I have the most fun working on theory based projects and design competitions. Recently, I've taken an adjunct instructor job in a college in the east side teaching CAD. It's been a great experience so far.
I am embarking on grad school for post graduate studies in advanced architectural design at Columbia University.
On the rare instances where I have some time, I produce art. I produce images that depict modern day contemporary conflicts that touch on issues of spirituality, warfare, politics and history.
Lately, I've taken up a few solo activities: photography, painting & snowboading. I like painting in oil and acrylic on large canvases. It's liberating when you can make large curved strokes when you draw straight lines all day. I enjoy appreciating nature.
I like thinking and talking about everthing from nature, politics, spirituality and art. I'm a realist in my outlook of the world, and some people mistaken me for being pesimistic.
