Welcome to our page. God loves you the way you are! Whoever invented DIVERSITY is a GENIUS ! (I think that's God)
Being Mixed is the new way to be. Although we aren't widely represented in society and the media, we exist and form the new face of tomorrow's world.
7 million people checked the "Multiracial" box on the 2000 U.S. Census, and many people in the world identify solely as 'mixed' (most of South America or Northern Africa etc)
The multiethnic population is rapidly growing all over the world, and more and more people are detaching themselves from the traditional way of seeing and interacting with RACE and CULTURE.
THATS WHY WE BELIEVE IN ONE HUMAN RACE
ONE HUMAN RACE, many ethnicities and cultures...
RACE IS NOT THE SAME AS ETHNICITY
Our aim is not to divide but to provide understanding to people who are of many ethnic and cultural background and to promote tolerance and peace in the world.
We are all ONE race, the HUMAN RACE
PURPOSE OF THIS PROFILE AND THE MIXIES INTERNATIONAL GROUP
** Differentiate “race†from ethnicity, culture and heritage. These terms are not synonymous, and too many misunderstandings arise from this confusion.
** Introduce legislation to eliminate “race†choice on all government applications. Government acknowledgement the humans belong to “one race†is a critical initial step to improving relations among different ethnicities and cultures.
** Replace “race†choice with “most recent ethnicity, heritage or culture, including a category for “mixed†and space for detailed explanation, if desired.
** Acknowledge all humans are mixed.
** Recognize improved communications, travel and global commerce facilitates the human amalgamation process, thereby increasing the number of individuals with obvious mixed external features. Having already populated the extreme corners of our planet, our new journey is now inward with increased frequency of intermingling among cultures and ethnicities.
** Recognize that people with more obvious, mixed external characteristics (Tiger Woods, Halle Berry, Adeline etcetera) endure unique challenges, social pressure and conflict from multiple ethnic sources..
** Teach that all must seek ways to overcome conflict and growing pains, and become better individuals, despite unique adversity and burdens.
** Teach that external appearance, color, age, religion, gender, sexual preference, national origin and language have nothing to do with measuring an individual’s character, integrity or internal beauty.
** Include all of the above, and “One Human Race†research implications into the educational system at all grade levels ASAP.
The goals above were formulated by Stephen, aka, St.ephen, the lyricist from MixIcan International, Inc. Stephen is very cool and knowledgable, and I am delighted he has accepted my offer to co-moderate our group. We are confident our collaborative efforts will help focus member direction to personal resolution and constructive ideas to make our world a better place.
This page will bring you all the latest about the Mixed Community, whether it is mixed ethnically, culturally or racially (meaning every single human being in the world).
