Okay, so I'm not wanting to meet Jason Adamo in the shower. This section was just a good place to put text for an awesome video that he shot. He's at http://www.myspace.com/jasonadamo . Oh, here's the text with his vid: " Jason records his vocal part (on a whim) in producer Derek Olds shower stall while John Briggs records his Rhodes Piano part down the hall in the living room! "

I love shows when you feel, hanging on to the dregs of the night, that you're among the closest friends who get to hang out with musicians who are comfortable enough to drop the show facade and be themselves. -Like getting to hang out during a rehearsal. This was the last Last LAST encore we could cajole out of John Dixon's TEN PENNY this night (3/10/08). -Worth the price of admission for this alone.Below is an outstanding video from Annuals I'd seen a month or so ago. When they posted it 5/08 on their page, it reminded me to follow suit.

OOOkay... My heroes are the low-wage working class, who do, for the lowest pay and the worst conditions, jobs no one could pay me ENOUGH to do. -The service industry people who often are treated like second-class citizens. ("What? You want to be PAID to be out sick?! Why, you make less than $10/hr: you don't GET benefits.") Maybe it's the "Mon-Fri, air-conditioned, take-the-afternoon-off-cause-it's-so-nice, 4-day-weekend-for-a-holiday" office job that should get $10/hr. And the person who leaves a manual-labor job at 5pm, exhausted, hustling to get to their second job as a janitor til 10pm, when they get to go home to see their families: maybe that should bring in the $70-$120k a year. -Skilled trades people, who are the backbones of our infrastuctures both publicly and in our homes, who have bucked the elitist push that says you're a failure if you don't go to college & grad school, that you might be looked at as inferior. ("Shazamm, give her a soapbox; she's on a ROLL!")
