English Biography:Fernando Noronha & Black soul have been playing togheter since January, 1995. Along these years on the road they have recorded 6 CDs and have played in Festivals and Blues Clubs all around the World, taking their music to Countries like Argentina, Chile, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Canada, Switzerland and Austria.
All of these have provided them the opportunity of playing and/or working together with names like B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Jeff Healey, Coco Montoya, Chris Duarte, Ron Levy and Phil Guy, among others. The first CD released by the band was called "Swamp Blues", and it was elected the best CD of 1997 by the listeners of Ipanema FM Radio Station. In 1998 the CD "Heartfull of Blues" hit the musical market with a more professional production and it was mixed and mastered in Dallas/TX.
This album showed the musical growth of the Band. The appreciation came through the magazine "Cover Guitarra", that elected "Heartfull of Blues" as one of the best Blues/Rock Albums ever recorded in Brasil. In the year 2000 FN&BS released "Blues from Hell", a CD that was produced by the legendary organist and producer from the USA Ron Levy (7 years playing with B.B. King and 9 indications for the Grammy Awards). Ron Levy also played in the album, using a Hammond B3 in 7 tracks. "Blues from Hell" got the "Açorianos Awards" for best Blues album.
In 2003, the Band signed a contract with the record company Orbeat Music, and released their fifth album, called "Changes". The new work had the production of the American guitarist Chris Duarte, and it was also the first CD with the new Drummer of the band, Ronie Martinez. The CD brings 11 tracks, 10 original brand-new songs and one a recording of "House of Blues" from the "Gales Brothers". This is, for sure, the best and most mature work of the Band, that managed to put in "Changes" their own identity and musical sound. But it's on stage that FN&BS has been taking lots of music and fun to the places they have performed. Playing their contemporary "Eletric Blues" all over the world along their history, the group has gathered thousands of fans and friends everywhere they have performed.
