Rock & Roll Soul Power

About Me

(I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4)

Tomada is a Brazilian rock'n'roll band formed in São Paulo. They made their first gigs in late 2000 / early 2001.Their current line-up consists of Ricardo Alpendre (singer), Rodrigo Casais Gomes (guitar), Marcelo Pepe Bueno (eletric bass) and Alexandre Marciano (drums). The first CD, Tudo Em Nome Do Rock & Roll (All in the name of Rock & Roll), was recorded by this line-up and hit the streets in late 2003 (November), an independent release produced by Tomada themselves .Tomada is a real hard-rocking live unit. At their shows, you can check the band at their best, either with their own compositions or with a Mutantes song or a blues classic.Early 2005 is likely to see the release of Tomada's second CD album. Working title is Volts. The sounds are taking that blues-rock-soul shape that have made Tomada one of the most praised newcomers by Brazilian rock press. Site www.czpublicidade.com/tomada
