Dying on the 66th day of hunger strike in 1981 for political status as a prisoner of war, Bobby Sands MP faught to free his native land and to raise awareness of "The Troubles" in The North of Ireland. Originally a side-project of "The Potcheen Folk Band", Christopher, Braden, Dave, and Andy decided to return to their acoustic folk rock roots and concentrate on the cultural and rebellious music of Ireland. They have played together since 2006 and have formed sixtysixdays as a way to inform the masses of Ireland’s fight for freedom. Played fast, loud and with lots of energy sixtysixdays’ music reflects Irish culture both now, then and in the future. As founding members of The Potcheen Folk Band, and after touring nationwide and playing several hundred shows together, Christopher and Dave left that project to fulfill needs of getting back to their roots and local pubs. Joined by Braden Rouen and and Andy McQueen, respectively a former fiddle player and sound engineer of The Potcheen Folk Band the four have now been rocking the rebel style ever since. "sixtysixdays" is Denver’s musical voice of a free, unified Ireland, and are curently entertaining parties, pubs and venues’.
