A 15 YEAR OLD, HIS DAD AND THEIR NEIGHBOR.Is this a new Fox Sitcom? Not yet, right now it's just the Best Little Irish Punk Band that could.
CRAiC HAUS / krak howss / Irish and German origin: means FUNHOUSE. As the pioneers of the, not yet discovedred, SHAMROCKABILLY SCENE, CRAiC HAUS is breaking NEW ground everywhere they play. As a Rastaman once said, "Deez boys, only run on HIGH OCTANE, mon!"
Starting off as a novelty offshoot of the traditional Irish band PADDY DOYLE'S BOOTS, CRAiC HAUS began building it's own audience and huge sets of songs; from traditional "Irish" to OLD SCHOOL PUNK to ROCKABILLY to SWING and exciting ORIGINAL tunes heard on their new CD " PUNKELTIC SHAMROCKABILLY" ( produced by JAKE SMITH of CRUCIFIX S.F. fame).CRAIC HAUS is DANNY OBERBECK on drums and lead vocals, his son DYLAN OBERBECK on guitar and backing vocals and LIEF FREDERICK on bass and backing vocals. Although, there is a 40 year span between the left and right side of the stage CRAIC HAUS blows up every generation gap and goes from Chet Atkins to Stiff Little Fingers with unpredictable ease.
Years ago, Danny started his own punk rock band, LOST CAUSE, when he was 14 and got to open for all the great bands of the time: SOCIAL DISTORTION, TSOL, FEAR, the CIRCLE JERKS, MIDDLE CLASS, the GEARS, 45 GRAVE, MEAT PUPPETS, VICE SQUAD, CHRON GEN, ETC...rather than talk about the 'GOOD OL' DAYS" endlessly, Danny would like to give Dylan some 'GOOD OL' DAYS' of his own.
For the last two years, CRAiC HAUS has been tearing the roofs off of pubs and concert halls from San Diego Ca. to Grant's Pass Oregon, leaving behind a lot of smiles and sore feet. They've shared the stage with many great bands including the BAY CITY ROLLERS and their favorite band, of all-time, 'X' .An evening with CRAIC HAUS is a night you won't forget, "..!@&$@.. Magic" says the owners of Durty Nelly's Pub. So, IF THE HAUS IS SHAMROCKIN, DON'T BOTHER KNOCKIN, put on your dancing shoes and LET'S GET CRAIC'N !!!!..This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5
