a drop in the bucket, but it's the right bucket

About Me

After a ten year hiatus, the band reformed in 2005 with original members David, Jim, and Steve. All grown up and fully immersed in their day jobs, the former psychology and social ecology majors decided to give the band another go. Changing their name from "The Shade" to "5HT", a reference to drug treatments for psychological disorders was one of the first orders of business (see blog for details). While the 90's version of the band pumped out melancholy songs focused on teen angst. The re-formed trio comes with a new outlook and a new direction - faster tempos, more intensity and … well, the songs still focus on angst, but perhaps the 30's something version.
