EMOCEAN "NO JOB OR NO PENNIES" OUT NOW £3
Emocean, Born July 1986, Currently unemployed living in Croxteth, Liverpool UK. Since an early age Emocean was interested in music singing along to tracks by the Pet Shop Boys, Phil Collins, Michael Jackson, and Vanilla Ice. Emocean would set up his 1990 Christmas present a state of the art karaoke system and sing out to his favourite tracks. Around the same time Emocean was representing local football teams and earning a lot of respect for his certain future football career. In 1997 Emocean attended his local senior school were his life would change forever. Whilst never really a disruptive pupil his behaviour was sometimes a course of concern stated his former tutor. It was threw this same tutors class he would mix with rap fans. The pupils of the class would be constantly arguing over who killed 2pac and who killed Notorious B.I.G. Emocean had never heard of 2pac or Notorious B.I.G. so logged onto the schools internet and done some research. He was lost in the music and with the £7.50 he got a week from his paper round he would buy albums upon albums of rap music. It wasn't really until 1999 that Emocean started to develop as an artist, He was tired of being racially tormented and going threw bad relationships with girls. This was the same year Eminem was all over the charts. Emocean would quickly latch onto Eminems lyrics as he could relate in so many ways, The missing Father, The trouble with girls, And started righting out his own basic lyrics an raps. Through further research on the internet he would download a lot of instrumentals and a program called Cool Edit Pro were he would record his music using a £6 argos mic his mother had bought him to interact in online gaming. In 2001 Emocean felt confident enough to release his first demo, He sent his demo to local labels including Honey Records who responded with heart breaking remarks begging Emocean to give up an continue the day job. Emocean turned these words or criticism into words of positive influence. One of the points Honey records mentioned was his recording quality, and his flow. So once again Emocean was on the Internet researching Home recording techniques and how to flow, he quickly picked up on song structures and adapted a mellow laid back flow, which is very unique in the rap music scene he is not hardcore but is not to laidback he calls this style the point of Emocean, The point between Love and Hate. He invested a lot of money into his now impressive home recording studio. In 2003 Emocean felt confident enough to release yet another demo, which was listened to by local artist MC Inferno, Inferno sent Emocean an email an quickly signed him to his local independent label Mersey Street Art. Emocean recorded 2 tracks with MSA and then left the same time local artist Dru T was released from Urbeatz. The two already new each other threw arguing on websites such as Soundclick.com and Jaydiocity.co.uk. Emocean forgot about there little grudge and the two got together to form LockDown Entertainment, They signed another local artist known at the time as Killah Kon now as Dean G (N E Meanz). The Three would make diss tracks towards other local artists including Mc Inferno and Cain. The 3 lasted for a year an a half until Dru was sent away for 3 years for shooting passers by with an air rifle, one happened to be a member of merseyside police and Dru was sentenced for possession of a firearm and assault. Dean G & Emocean went there separate ways. Emocean would write letters to Dru who never responded. After several months Emocean released a mix tape called Broken Home under the name of Spitz he met member of former grime group RTG Blakk Spyder. Blakk spyder introduced Emocean to his label owner Royzy who signed Emocean to Ally Cat Productions, It was at Ally Cat that owner Royzy titled Emocean "Emocean" The meaning came threw his mellow tracks and laid back approach to rap, and the emotional topics he raps about. After recording 2 tracks with Ally Cat. Emocean fell Ill and took several months away from rap. he kept intouch with Blakk Spyder who informed him that Ally Cat had gone bust and was no longer a business. Whilst at Ally Cat Emocean promised his fans the release of his first mix tape under the name Emocean, He kept to his promise and released his first mix tape called "My 1st Mixtape" Emocean would drive round Liverpool & St Helens town handing out free copies even sending a copy to local radio station Juice Fm. Emocean felt for the wait his fans had waited that the £3 fee for the mix tape was to much and decided to release it free of charge. He posted up a download link for the mix tape and it recieved (85) downloads on the first day it was available. Emocean is now working on his 2nd mix tape/Album "No Job Or No Pennies". Emocean would like to thank everybody who takes time to read about him and the time to listen to his music. Continue the support.
