About Me

Soul Free are a 3 member group from Whiston, Liverpool made up of danika, shegz and bola which was set up in summer of 2006.
They'd been performing with one another in school, but never thought they'd make a group together. Then Knowsley Streetwaves competition came along and Bola, Shegz and Neeka decided to give the competition a try, not expecting anything to come of it.
After winning the competition, this woke them up to the reality that they stood a chance as a band, and so they carried on.
Soul Free are about 2 Years old and have had several high profile gigs in the Liverpool/Knowsley area. These include Matthew Street Festival, The Beatles Festival and a gig with the Philharmonic Gospel Choir amongs many.Over the last few months, Soul Free has been back at the drawing board workin on new material. This creative process has meant that they haven't been gigging for a short while. HOWEVER, they will be back shortly to start gigging in the summer. stay tuned. Band Members: Bola: still in school right now but in her spare time, she enjoys recording music and loves singin to annoy her brother (Shegz), but its all goo still :-P. her impressive ability to work her voice is shown in 'adios'. She also enjoys dancing in school productions and has a very wide vocal range... tracks: Adios, Funked Up, Baby I

Danika: Still in skool but enjoys recordin in her spare time and loves performing. Her vocal range is compared to that of mariah careys because she can hit the high notes... tracks: Funked Up, Adios, Baby I

Shegz: Loves producing, rapping and playin his guitar. he also enjoys writing new songs which defy the laws of current music.

Andre Finney: aka wonderboy. This is the soul free drummer who never fails to deliver when hes on the kit. His natural rythm is shown in the sick beats he puts together when him and shegz are jammin. Talent indeed !!!
Influences: Influences came from a widerange of areas:
Christina Aguilera Wyclef Jean, Maroon 5, Kanye West, Pharrel Williams, Whitney Houston, Sway Dasafo, James Blunt, The Police, Ray Charles, Lemar, Kano, Nickelback. T.I ANYONE WHO MAKES GOOD MUSIC!!!!

knowsley x-mas lights

soul free will be preforming at the knowsley switching on of xmas lights in prescot, kirkby and huyton. this even is free and all are very welcome to come and witness the fine light being switched on....
