Sounds Like: Mick Mercer: 'Often seriously far more powerful with their post-punk than many could manage, DHM frequently stop short of exhilarating due to the dour nature of the intense vocals. They are a rhythmic powerhouse, so often the way in the past before tweenies bought cheap programming software, and its a worthy habit for bands to investigate. The drums and bass are superbly weighty throughout and invest this album with a vigorous physical feel, allowing the guitar to guide you to the peaks and troughs without ever becoming too decorative, and the vocals dominate when they can, providing they can, in this democratic furore. They remind me of many bands, but doing everything in a modern way, where they have all their ideas laid out and are powering through them () DHM know what they want and they achieve it, and look at the photo of them, they look perfectly polite. Then just team them up with some instruments and they go mental! What is inside all comes out, and that's what music should be about.'
