About Me

just a guy that likes folx and good times, some good music and some good food. friends. my fam. keeping it real. love & happiness (al green), i live in berkeley ca and work in san francisco for a gr8 org, the trust for public land. i'm married (3rd times the charm) to a wonderful woman (see top friends) linda and have 3 gr8 kids, 2 in hawai'i (claire 18 and martine 17) and one in chico ca (austin, 26). i like good movies, i like good food. i love gr8 beer (belgians and CA ipas!), i love my pets (an almost 2 yr old timneh african grey parrot and a crazy adopted feral cat, hobbes. let's see now: i love art...miro, kandinsky, picasso, diebenkorn, rauschenberg, calder, jasper johns, yves tangey, murikami, haring, dondi, basquiat, on and on. i love the woods and the beach and the city too. mostly i'm just looking for new experiences and to keep what i got...each day i awake is a miracle and a blessing. i'm not religious but if i was i'd be a buddhist. okay enough about me what is up w/ you? Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (http://www.anthonybourdain.com/) - I love this show. I like eating but this is not just about food, Bourdain is hilarious and I love every episode I've seen, thanks to my wife, Linda, for turning me on to this Food network show that is about culture, food, drink, travel etc. Pimp My Ride (www.pimpmyride.com & www.xzibit.net) - mostly because I love Xzibit (thanks to my daughters Claire & Martine for turning me on to this one) Movies (esp. older ones), Austin City Limits. sometimes Letterman. Leno if someone good is on. Old Saturday Night Live. Basketball esp. college. Giants baseball. The Sopranos. The Wire. Desperate Housewives (but mostly only Gabrielle and Susan!) back in the day: Batman, The Monkees. Green Hornet! Speed Racer.
