I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I always wanted to be a Rock 'N' Roll star / But I never learned how to play the guitar
So...I had to fall back on my writing, since I DAMN SURE can't draw! Well, I DID draw my avatar, but beyond that I'm pretty hopeless.
I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area (and I have NO intention of ever leaving!). I spend most of my spare time seeing live music— going to the Rock Show. Maybe you've seen me there? If not, maybe you will. I might appear out of nowhere and tell you a poem. A nice one or a cynical one? You choose.
In the meantime, you can check out a sample of my work at my Web site: Enlightenprint.com . If you dig it, you can even pick up a copy of my book for less than it costs to send a poor child to Starbucks. Do people still drink that stuff? Well, no matter. You'll enjoy it more than a mocha-grande pumpkin-ccino! AND, (without that coffee buzz) you'll be able sleep soundly knowing you've helped out a struggling artist. Because as we all know, there ain't no money in poetry! Not that money is the be-all and end-all, but it sure would make life easier— what with the price of concert tickets today. See, money is just a means to an end, and that end is where I like to end up...at the Rock Show!
So to that end, I propose a revolutionary idea: I would like an established rock band, rock star, or group of musicians who are well on their way to creating a name for themselves to turn my poety into lyrics. I've been told my stuff is very lyrical and MANY people have told me that I should put my words to music. Only problem is, I don't play an instrument. I quit five of them before even entered high school! I just don't have it in me. But, I LOVE to rock!
So, I figure I'll just stick to what I know and what I'm good at, and leave the music to the masters. Hopefully, some day I will be able to collaborate with some talented people and get my shit out there where it matters to me most...in the music.

Information is not knowledge. Knowledge is not wisdom. Wisdom is not truth. Truth is not beauty. Beauty is not love. Love is not music. Music is THE BEST.
