About Me

When Laurianne was 14, she discovered Sade, an artist who has since become one of her most trusted influences. She went on to sing in the Symphonic and Jazz choirs at Bellevue Community College. It was there that she discovered Bossa Nova. Unlike the American Jazz she knew so well, this sound was Brazilian. All at once, Laurianne developed a new love for a new music. To this day, she is particularly inspired by Joao Gilberto, Luiz Bonfa, Astrud Gilberto and Antonio Carlos Jobim, among several other Brazilian artists. Shortly after her departure from BCC, Laurianne brought two of her most natural talents together. Writing and singing. The collision resulted in something uniquely fresh and mysteriously sweet. This sound is literally where Jazz and Folk met Bossa Nova and fell in love. You will too.
