Darktown Strutters

About Me

The Darktown Strutters create a beautiful mood in any venue and have delighted audiences everywhere. They have grown from strength to strength musically since their debut residency in the Half Moon Club in 2005. They have played in several venues in Ireland and played in Cologne during a recent trip where they actually got to meet and study with the legendary Lee Konitz (courtesy of the Arts Council of Ireland)! Now the next stage in the adventure begins and 2 new members have been added to the band to play bass and drums. The band hope to record again soon with the new lineup, intending to do some long sought-after vocal tracks and some jazzed-up covers to complement the older repertoire.Hide your daughters, watch out world, here come the Darktown Strutters.
