About Me

Born and raised proudly in the quaint suburb of West Springfield Massachusetts, Singer/Songwriter Pianist Jon Dowling has established his signature vocals and writing within the music industry for well over eight years. Dowling received a dual Major in Performance & Music Business from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and has put all of his skilsets to good use throughout his music career.His emotive, visual and inspirational lyrics, in combination with unique and unconventional musical arrangements have made for a refreshing alternative in today's fast changing industry.Jon has performed and collaborated with some of the industry's most respected artists, such as Toto, Grammy award winning Latin Jazz pianist sensation Michel Camilo, bassist Rich Neville of Poco, Lanny Isis, Dave Hoffmann, Harvey Swartz and many more. For the past four years, Jon has had the opportunity to create and Co-produce his songs with vaunted producers John Degrazio, (Madonna, Jars Of Clay, John Mayer, Jennifer Lopez) and Drew Manzano, (Lionel Richie, Brian McKnight, Rodney Jerkins, Tatiana Ali.) Jon has also been working in the studio with award winning Engineer/Producer Christian Wicht,(David Bowie, Backstreet Boys, Brian McKnight, Vanessa Williams,) to include the single "Here To Stay".Jon has also been taking extensive vocal coaching with the likes of Katie Agresta, who has lended her expertise to several prominent artists over the past forty years, such as Jon Bon Jovi, Cyndi Lauper, Lenny Kravitz, Dave Matthews, Queen Latifah, Steven Tyler and many more.(http://www.katieagresta.com)Jon is also studying with Mark Schnaible, who is a highly accomplished classically trained singer in his own right. Jon is planning a return to the studio to record his fourth CD "Long Days, Long Nights" in 2009, along with the aid of these great producers, his core band and some prominent special guests artists, who will lend their talents. Jon is very much looking forward to the results of this creative process as a lot of fun and magic seems to happen when theses creative forces combine efforts.
Trials & Tribulations, Jon's third CD will be released in August of 2008 and will be available through all of Jon's sites, as well as on itunes, CD baby.com, Wal-Mart, Napster, Amazon.com and will be featured at Best Buy stores nationally, to include the single "Out Of The Dark" to be played on commercial radio stations all across the country.
