About Me

I am an enthusiastic wide eyed dreamer who believes anything is probable given enough positive energy and directed focus. Learning, growing, contemplating, reading and sharing are some of my favorite pastimes.

To me, Love is the by far the most important human condition to achieve in life. Love for self, for family, and for friends. The more you love, the more love you. Its like this great soul fuel that we all generate to allow everyone to burn brightly. It should be shared freely.

I really enjoy traveling to new places, witnessing everyday art and cultural influences. I question everything. I feel guided by positive intuition and feel everyone can benefit greatly by practicing their ability to positively perceive.

Alchemy

This is a great video that outlines an amazing perspective of alchemy and what it all really leads to. Its a dismal message, but a worthy hour long investment. I very much desire to explore and learn more about the natural universe and the cycles of time - this is really what alchemy is all about.

Sir IsaacNewton, the Father of contemporary alchemical thought.

Kathryn Cassidy has a really good video blog about the seven hermetic principles, or "The Secret".

The Seven Laws of Hermetic Philosophy

1. The Principle of Mentalism.
All is Mind; the Universe is Mental.

This principle explains the true nature of energy, power and matter.

2. The Principle of Correspondence.
As Above, so Below; As Below so Above.

This principle enables man to reason intelligently from the known to the unknown.

3. The Principle of Vibration.
Nothing Rests; Everything Moves; Everything Vibrates.

This principle explains that the difference between manifestations of matter, energy, mindand spirit result from varying rates of vibration.

4. The Principle of Polarity.
All is Duality. Everything has Poles; Everything has its Pairs ofOpposites; Like and Unlike are the Same.

Opposites are identical but different in degree. Opposites are only two extremes of thesame thing, with many varying degrees between.

5. The Principle of Neutralization
The Universe is Rhythm. Everything Flows Out, and In; Everything has its Tides; All ThingsRise and Fall. The Pendulum Swing Manifests in Everything, Rhythm Compensates.

This principle of neutralization applies in affairs of the Universe, suns, worlds; inlife, mind, energy, matter. There is always an action and a reaction, an advance and aretreat.

6. The Principle of Causation.
Every Cause has its Effect; Every effect has its cause; EverythingHappens According to Law.

Chance is but a name for a law not recognized. There are many planes of Causation, Butnothing escapes the Law.

7. The Principle of Gender.
Gender is in Everything, Everything has its Masculine and FemininePrinciples. Gender Manifests on All Planetary Levels.

Everything or person, contains the two principles within it, him or her.

I'd like to meet:

Thrilling, Excitable, Artistic, Beautiful, Articulate, and Contemplative Individuals. I like people that think for themselves. Folks who are passionate about everything they involve themselves with and who work very hard to achieve great things inspire me. Humans should always maintain a healthy sense of what it means to have a good time, and how valuable that time is.

Music:

My current favorites are:
Dead Can Dance, Afrocelt Sound System, Patchwork, Tricky, Massive Attack, Bjork, Buddha Bar, Gypsy Kings, Gotan Project, Left Field, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Queen, Korn, Alice in Chains, Garbage, Rusted Root, Enigma, REM, Peter Gabriel, Portishead, Moby, Apocalyptica, The Mermen, Linkin Park, Evanescence, KMFDM, Machines of Loving Grace, System of a Down, Godsmack, Radiohead, Cranes, The Prodigy, Depeche Mode, Madonna, Norah Jones, Ray Charles, Pearl Jam, Tool, INXS, Live, Pink Floyd, Sky Cries Mary.

Rallia Christidou ~ If you have never heard this woman, she is fantastic. Sometimes I really wish I knew Greek.

Welcome Rallia!

She's a really talented musician.

Beautiful too..

Movies:

There are so many entertaining and influential movies I've seen. As I think of them and see clips of them, I shall share them.

My friend Jeff and I decided to be extras in a movie back in 1992. It was called "Toast with the Gods". I believe it was intended to be part of an independent film festival or something, and we never heard about it or saw anything remotely resembling the movie - until recently, when I found a preview clip of it on YouTube.

Jeff and I were pigs in the movie, wearing masks. I was the pig with the long brown hair, Jeff with the long blond hair. The whole scene that day had this BDSM flavor, loaded with scantily clad chicks and free food. All in all it was a nice afternoon. It's even a better memory now that I found this clip.

Books:

I haven't been reading much lately except "The miracle of mindfulness" by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Its a potent book that I'm reading over and over.

I am however, learning many things on the internet at a pretty accelerated rate.

The Naked Truth is an amazing documentary that is indescribable. If you have the time, its worth the viewing.
Interesting stuff.

Jordan Maxwell has some pretty interesting theories on what it means to be born in the 'United States'.
