About Me
Two of very few female Stick players, Irene Orleansky (Israel) and Virginia Splendore (Italy), have formed a duo for recording their album and touring around the world with their live show.
In their new program, Irene (Stick, vocal, oud, programming) and Virginia (Stick, fretless bass, vocal, percussion) will present their original compositions as well as arrangements of the songs of their roots.
Irene Orleansky is a classically trained musician born in Russia and currently living in Israel. She participated in many deverse musical projects – from directing the choir of Gregorian and Renassaince music in the monastery in France to playing and singing in a popular Russian band, and recently also in the trio Cides-Marotta-Orleansky, together with the renowned drummer Jerry Marotta and the Stick player Guillermo Cides.
Virginia Splendore is a self-educated musician, born in Naple and currently residing in her house in the province of Rieti, surrounded by beautiful nature and numerous unusual musical instruments. One of the veterans of the Chapman Stick, the official agent of Stick Enterprises in Italy and an outstanding fretless bass player, Virginia is known for her work in the duo SplendoRe together with the Italian Stick player Roberto Fiorucci, and colaborations with many artists, including the renowned bass and Stick player Tony Levin and the bass player Michael Manring.

We have finished our first European tour, and we'd like to thank our friend and manager Roger Salem for making it possible, SR Technology for providing us with their amazing amplification system, Massimo Martinaglia and Paolo Siconolfi for their helping us all through the tour, all the club owners who welcomed us at their wonderful places, all the great people who came to listen to our music (some even from other cities and countries)!!
