Lammb 2 The Slaughter
Verse I
Behold a virgin walked the earth with child
King of the Jews, Savior to the gentiles
Born in Bethlehem, escaped to the Nile
For the angel of the Lord warned Herat’s living fail
From birth the enemy seeks to destroy
Put Herat to the ploy to kill all the baby boys
But the Father’s will must be done
For God so love the world he gave his only begotten Son
Who would go like a lamb to the slaughter?
Verse II
There arose a man named John the Baptist
The voice of one crying in the wilderness
Surviving on wild berries and locus
Subservient to the Lord and he never lost focus
He was a man of faith
Prepare the way of the Lord and make his path straight
The Pharisees sought to question and debate
But the ways of the Lord he endeavored to related
For John indeed baptized with water
But he wasn’t the one who would be lead to the slaughter
He testified of the Messiah
Who would Baptist with the Holy Spirit and with fire
Whom the Holy Spirit descended upon like a dove
Went about healing the sick raising the dead and teaching love
Never before has a man such as this walked the earth
God’s true and living word in the flesh trough birth
Who would go like a lamb, go like a lamb, the son of the great I am?
Verse III
Jesus Christ was his name
The Messiah Lord of Lords King of Kings one and the same
Made the blind see he healed the lame
That no should never perish eternal life is why he came
But the world is with out shame
They sought to find fault in the one that was with out blame
They nailed my God to a cross
The every earth moaned groaned it turned it tossed
It mourned the death of it creator
Yahweh I am Jehovah God Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior
He was bruised for our sins chastised for our inequity
So that we may L.I.V.E
This is a song of praise
For on the 3rd day my Lord and Savior was raised
