About Me

Alot of people have been asking, "What happened with DallasONE and when will the next event be?" The answer is, "We don't know." DallasONE was put together by a group of singles that had a heart to plan events that would bring together the body of Christ to serve Him together. Since the beginning in March 2006, the leadership has moved on to other ministries, been called to other ventures, or been transferred out of Dallas. The Lord brought together 3 unique groups of leaders to do 3 GREAT event days and many socials that glorified God. If He doesn't bring along leaders to continue it - we will count it a success and blessing and praise Him for the season that He gave us. If He brings along a team to do more events - then praise God we'll do it again. If you feel led to lead, please commit your desires to prayer and contact us at www.dallasone.org. We'll let you know if anything changes!
So what is DallasONE? We're a fun organization that gets singles together to have fun while helping others. Community service projects don't have to be boring, stuffy, or self-righteous - we give fun social events (auctions, costume parties, fashion shows, barn dances, ice cream socials, etc.) a higher purpose by having them benefit the poor, orphans, and widows of South Dallas.
You will have a lot of fun, meet great people, and take part in changing our city....we'd love for you to get involved! Unlike other organizations - when we say that we mean it. If you want to help in planning, marketing, or leading a small team - we will take you up on it! Check out our website at www.dallasone.org and sign up!
Thanks!
The DallasONE Team
DallasONE.1
In June 2006, DallasONE held its first event day in South Dallas. Five hundred singles from all over the Dallas Metroplex converged in South Dallas to serve the community. Working with Cornerstone Baptist Church and with the Dallas Life Foundation, these singles were able to accomplish great things in just one day.

In December 2006, DallasONE held its second event day Dallas. Singles gathered to serve over 5,000 people in service projects helping the poor, orphans, and widows of South Dallas. Projects included serving orphanages, nursing homes, repairing widows homes, homeless shelters, and HIS Bridgebuilders. The amazing day concluded with a candle lighting ceremony at Turner Courts.
DallasONE.3
In September 2007, over 500 Young Adults came together to serve the poor, orphans, and widows of South Dallas. Projects were planned in over 40 different projects around the DFW area ranging from Garland to Fort Worth. One Heart - One Mind - One God

"Words seem so inadequate to express my thanks and appreciation for working with us the past Saturday at Cornerstone Baptist Church to share God's love with the residents in South Dallas in a very tangible way. I believe only eternity will tell how an afternoon spent loving on the elderly in the community and being the presence of Christ in this community will impact their lives.

As I visited on Monday the homes of several of the residents who were blessed by your presence, they could not stop talking about how blessed they were because you had passed their way. From painting houses, the performing landscape work, to washing homes, to bringing cookies, plants, hugs, smiles, and LOVE!!!!! Your involvement in DallasONE, Cornerstone, and the South Dallas community is much appreciated.

I sincerely hope that God would continue to bless your life as you have been a blessing to others."

Chris L. Simmons, Pastor
Cornerstone Baptist Church

"That was clearly the most productive single volunteer day I have experienced in my 21 years of ministry. The DallasONE group was friendly, focused, willing and available the entire time they were here. We were touched by the massive amount of work they accomplished and even more touched by the willingness of their hearts . We would welcome any of them back at any time! .... I am amazed at how much got done! Our building looks and smells so much better. May God be praised for all He did through them . We could never thank you enough!"

Bob
Dallas Life Foundation

"The DallasONE experience is something that was desperately needed in the DFW area to bring everybody together and show the power that God has when we are united and together. I have worked on several projects like this, but none that encompassed so many people from different walks of life."
