MUSIC IS MY LIFE. I used to have a catastrophically large list of bands here but I'm trying to simplify. Lately: Current Indie Rock, 70s post punk and 80s new wave, anything with a dance beat or a ripping 80s synth line...
LATELY: The Wombats, Los Campesinos, Amy Winehouse, Peter Bjorn & John, The Kooks, The Fratellis, The Maccabees, The Rakes, Klaxons, Basically anything James or Jen tell me to listen to...
Me and my childhood pal Marshall, in happier times (circa 2003)
Anything Alexa picks. Except unlike her, I actually make it to the end....
Also: wet hot american summer, donnie darko, rushmore, i am tryin to break your heart, lord of the rings, the crow, i heart huckabees, dancer in the dark, memento, usual suspects, amelie, forrest gump, twelve monkeys, american beauty, anchorman, wedding crashers, all charlie kaufman movies: Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, etc (NOT adaptation.) Also: I really like slow-moving movies, sad movies, movies in other languages, and documentaries... basically all the crap most people hate.
Okay, NUMBER 1- I hate television for all the reasons that I secretly love it, and I deathly avoid it at all costs. Now and again I'll enjoy a delicious subway Turkey sub (my "dinner") in front of the TV, and if theres not some awesome educational/informative program on Discovery Channel or The History Channel, I'll watch Mr Show, The Colbert Report, The Office, wondershowzen, The Daily Show, Conan, Arrested Development, old SNL reruns, family guy, MXC, Reno 911, aqua teen hunger force, history channel's biographies (Ben Franklin's was excellent!), and VH1 Classic Rock channel (Styx made videos? AWESOME!).
my pantone book
Bob Odenkirk, Stephen Colbert, Jeff Tweedy, Ben Franklin, Gary Larson, and John Lennon.
Also, Teddy Roosevelt (well anyone named "Teddy" really... Ruxpin represent!)
