There's a difference between a Bad Song and a Bad Recording... I tend to think that I do Bad Recordings of what could be Good Songs- sometimes on purpose, sometimes out of lack of time to do Good Recordings. I love Bad Keyboards and Bad Keyboard Sounds... If there's a 1987 toy Casio keyboard on ebay for $20 bucks, chances are I already bid on it. If you've ever walked into the baby part of a toy store and seen those baby-pianos or baby-percussion or baby-anything, chances are I that I own it-- and I beat up a baby for it.
Essentially, I'm just a busy man, and I don't have time to do awesome recordings. I used to play in 2 bands. And I wrote and recorded a lot of music that for one reason or another just didn't fit into those 2 bands. (Most of the time it's because I find beauty in an intentional shitty lyric.) And I make these homemade casiotone-demos for each song that I still enjoy listening to, and maybe you will too.
